What is whey protein?

Whey protein refers to whey protein and is the most widely used protein supplement by gym goer.

Whey protein is a source of protein with high biological value and usually high amount of protein.

There are several types of whey protein, and concentrated and isolated protein are the most used.

Concentrated whey is cheaper compared to whey alone, however, whey alone has a higher protein concentration and a lower amount of carbohydrates and fats.
Concentrated whey typically brings about 80% protein and whey alone is around about 90%.

It is also an excellent way to add protein to any meal and thus increase the protein content of the diet.
