  • 2.2kg
  • 4.5kg

Average prices are 20? for the smaller version (907g), 42? for the medium version (2.2kg) and 92? for the large version (4.5kg).

So let's get to what really matters.

Elite Whey Ingredients

The base ingredients of this supplement are:

  • Isolated protein
  • Concentrated protein
  • whey peptides
  • Digestive enzymes

Sabe mais sobre proteína Whey aqui.

A formula similar to the one used in the protein of the Optimum Nutrition, Gold Standard, using only the highest quality protein sources.

Digestive enzymes will help in the protein digestion process, in other words, an asset.

Then we have some sweeteners, flavors and stabilizers that change according to the chosen flavor.

As for flavors, Elite Whey has a good variety like pina colada, banana and the classic strawberry or chocolate, among others.

So far everything is ok.

Nutritional value

Values may vary slightly from flavor to flavor, we will be using the vanilla version for this review.

33.6g 100g
Protein 25g 68.87g
Carbohydrates 2g 5.95g
Fat 1.5g 4.46g

Elite Whey has 25g of protein per serving, however each serving is 33.6g.

Since Elite Whey has 68.87g of protein for every 100g, it is a supplement with 69% of protein, a low value for a supplement of whey.

Carbohydrate and fat values are normal for this type of supplement.

Aminogram

Now let's look at Dymatize's Elite Whey aminogram.

Looking at the essential amino acids table, we see that Elite Whey has 15.4g of BCAA's per 100g and 5.6g per shake (1 scoop).

While the value of BCAA's per shake is great, it's important to remember that each serving of this supplement is above average, and looking at the value per 100g we see that, only 15.4g per 100g of Elite Whey, a mediocre amount due to its low protein content.

Since BCAA's are the most important amino acids for muscle development, let's put this protein side by side with the famous Gold Standard by Optimum Nutrition.

Elite Whey Whey Gold Standard
Total Protein / 100g 68.87g 81g
BCAA's/dose 5.6g / 33.6g 5.5g / 29.4g
BCAA's/100g 15.4g 18.7g

The Dymatize supplement is clearly behind with 12g less protein per 100g and 3.3g less BCAA's compared to the Optimum Nutrition supplement.

It's not the worst protein supplement we've looked at (hello 100% whey prime!), however, is mediocre.

Price

Elite Whey's average prices are as follows:

907g 2268g 4535g
Doses 27 68 135
Cost Per Serving 0.74 ? 0.61 ? 0.68
Total cost 20.00? 42.00? 92.00?

The cost of this protein ranges from 61 cents per shake to 74 cents in the smaller version.

Oddly enough, we find in all online stores the 2.2kg version at a lower price per dose than its XL version, the 4.5kg one.

What can we say about the price?

If we put Elite Whey next to the ON Gold Standard, Elite is able to offer a similar amount and quality of protein per beaten at a lower price.

However, if we put it next to a protein like Impact Whey, Elite is much more expensive and with a lower amount of protein.

Where to buy?

You find this supplement available here and you can still use the code GVIRTUAL to get a discount.

It is also available at Body & Fit here.

Conclusion

Dymatize's Elite Whey isn't a bad protein supplement, but it doesn't win any trophies either.

Looking only at the quality and forgetting the price, this supplement only contains 69% of protein, which is weak.

However, evaluating from a price/quality per dose perspective, we can say that this supplement beats the ON Gold Standard, mas perde (por muito) em relação uma Impact Whey.

In short, you can easily buy better supplements from whey protein, both in quality and in price/quality.
