Exercise used to work the legs in general, similar to the barbell version and ideal for those with back or lower back problems.
Main muscles: Quadriceps, glutes and hamstrings.
Hold the dumbbells in a neutral position, close to your body, with your feet slightly apart as in the image above.
Go down to the knee line and contract your abdominals and lower back during the movement.
Rise to the starting position and repeat the movement.
- Hunch your back.
- Go too low.
- Bring your knees too far forward.
