What is Glutamine?
Glutamine is the amino acid with the greatest presence in the human body.
It is a non-essential amino acid, because the body can synthesize it, but it can be promoted to conditionally essential in certain situations, such as diseases.
It is normally sold as a supplement to increase muscle mass, anti-catabolic and improve muscle recovery.
It may be beneficial for those who practice resistance/long-term exercise or for vegetarian diets, as for healthy people, so far the studies are not very promising and the effects are questionable.
Examples of Glutamine supplements:
- Myprotein L-Glutamine
- Prozis L-Glutamine
- Reflex L-Glutamine
