How and why did you start training?
I started training at César Sport Gym, in Quinta da Luz, in 1992, influenced by a great friend, Pedro Jardim, and because I was very skinny and frail at the time.
What type of diet do you follow?
I am not a “slave” to my diet, I eat everything and I only dedicate myself 100% to my diet when I have competitive goals.
As long as my metabolism allows it, I think I'll keep going!

Pre-competition diet
Breakfast
100 grams of oats with 50 grams of protein
Pre-Workout
Recuperador á base de glutamina, BCAA’s, arginina e beta-alanina
Post-Workout
50 grams of protein
50 grams of vitargo
Lunch
200 grams of chicken
100 grams of rice
100 grams of broccoli
OR
200 grams of hake
150 grams of baked potatoes
Salad
Middle of the afternoon
1 can of tuna
3 egg whites
To have lunch
200 grams of chicken
100 grams of rice
100 grams of broccoli
OR
200 grams of hake
150 grams of baked potatoes
Salad
Before bed
50 grams of caseinate
What type of training do you follow?
I normally train between Monday and Friday, 4 times a week.
Training is normally regulated by what I need to balance and according to the demands that I am aware of in competitive terms, without having any specific model that I constantly follow.
What are the main differences when you want to gain weight and when you want to lose fat?
I increase my caloric intake in terms of simple carbohydrates and try to maintain a regular protein intake.
As I can't eat much, I always try to manage things according to my availability and predisposition.
Where does your motivation come from?
From my Family, especially my brother, my shadow, who goes with me everywhere and never leaves me, and from my Friends, for them EVERYTHING!
As long as they are here for me and I feel capable, I will be on stage.
What supplements do you use?
- Multivitamin
- Protein
- Post-workout recovery
Any special tips for those just starting out?
That has A LOT OF PATIENCE, as results do not appear overnight.
There is no point in trying to skip or “burn” stages, as you will always return to the same thing and, most importantly, choose the people you surround yourself with carefully.
I was LUCKY to be with the same trainer for about 20 years.
I would like to thank Ginásio Virtual for the opportunity to talk a little about myself and introduce myself.
I hope I can somehow serve as “support” to those who are already in this world or are thinking about starting.
