“Micronutrients do not provide energy to the body, however they are essential for its proper functioning, performing other functions such as regulatory and plastic functions. They exist in smaller quantities in foods than macronutrients, and are also needed in smaller quantities.
Micronutrients are fat-soluble vitamins, water-soluble vitamins, mineral salts and trace elements.?

Much can be said about micronutrients, and their various groups, however the definition above summarizes very clearly what these elements are, basically, they participate in most of our body's processes, from digestion, aiding nervous function, energy metabolism, etc.
Examples of micronutrients: Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Zinc, Magnesium, etc.
We will not delve too deeply into this topic as at an initial stage there is no great need for this, focus mainly on the macronutrients.
