Declined Bench Press

Exercise used to work the lower chest area more intensively.

Main muscles: Pectoral (especially the lower zone), triceps and anterior deltoids.

Lying on a bench in a 20 to 30 degree decline, with your legs tied together, hold the bar as in a normal bench press. Lower the weight in a controlled manner and return to the starting position.

The accompaniment of someone during this movement is especially important.

Common mistakes

  • Bank with too much declination.
  • Overweight.
  • Excessive use of this movement.
