Exercise used to work the lower chest area more intensely.
Main muscles: Pectoral (especially the lower area), triceps and anterior deltoids.
Execution
Lying on a bench inclined between 20º and 30º, with your legs locked, hold the bar as in a normal bench press. Lower the weight in a controlled manner and return to the starting position.
Having someone accompany you during this movement is especially important.
Common mistakes
- Bank with too much declination.
- Overweight.
- Excessive use of this movement.
Variants
- Decline chest press with dumbbells.
